Alliancism

There is a problem with political progress today.  There is no word but fascism to describe a  change of government into a system of always putting subsidies for corporate profit ahead of freedoms, markets, or property, controlled by one person.  A trivial point, an oligarchy as the fascist is possible here too.  While the properties of fascism appear on a regular but limited basis, it’s absolute properties (absolute control) may not be present.  The transition can take place at any speed.  Freedoms can be lost for temporary profit, one freedom at a time.

Alliancism to fascism is much like socialism to communism.   In small doses both can have good short term consequences, but only for a temporary period of time.  Bringing in fractional banking in where there was none before, but cannibalizing the money supply to do it.  Growing economy of scale by ending trade disputes via hard power and eroding citizen rights to reach that goal.  Masking the tragedy of the commons with consumerism and gentrification.  Incrementally replacing debate with marketing, public relations and ultimately propaganda.   Replacing war with police action (conquest by peace).   Meant as a staged scale like socialism, alliancism is a partial implementation of fascism in a capitalist democracy (including republics) as it transitions between the optimal psychopathic cooperative (rights AND shortcuts) to rapid simplification and localization.  Ultimately, collapse.

I’m naming it after the alliance.  The closest relationship a person without a conscience (a psychopath) can have to a friendship.  Temporary and transitory in nature alliances can only exist while at each party thinks they are using the other to their ultimate advantage.  Where fascism immediately assumes all rights to it’s leader class, alliancism can erode rights one at a time.  Cashing in freedoms for temporary pricing advantages via market distortions.   This continues until the faith in currency and property are lost, and trust and investment ceases.

How does prejudice happen?

It is important I did not start with the question ‘what is prejudice?’  It would be like asking ‘what is glare?’ of a blind person.  Inevitably the conversation would revert to ‘how does glare happen?’  So let’s start at the beginning.

Prejudice is a process, not a state.  It’s a slight of hand.  A trick.   More specifically prejudice is a projection.  It starts as people from one culture are exposed to psychopaths from another.

The exposure may or may not be direct.  Non-psychopaths or empaths can be trapped for a lifetime by their own conscience.  These are called proto-psychopaths.  In this situation the trapped conscience demands only obedience to a puppeteer of it’s owner.  This is important because many generations of proto-psychopaths can perpetuate long since stale prejudices.

Psychopaths love to bring up, point out, and otherwise insight prejudice.  It presents opportunities to take control of the minds of proto-psychopaths and the naive to human potential for evil.  Derisive thinking is inherently emotional thinking, and strong emotional reactions drown out the conscience’s signals of risk.

Think of is this way.  A conscionable nudge, or a gut feeling about the nearby proximity of a psychopath, will be imperceptible in a crowded subway car of emotions about past psychopaths.  So by reacting to another societies evil of the past, you deny your own ability to navigate both your own present and your future.  All this time later the psychopath, who neither you or the persons who trained your prejudices may have ever met, is still manipulating you.

The only way to restore your risk manager, or your conscience, is to forgive them.  Don’t forget, that’s foolhardy.  Accept those psychopaths for what they are, a sporadically born, genetically bound, subset of human behavior.   A group of people who can not cooperate, but only compete.  Also forgive the obedient proto-psychopath, who may not have not the social means or the EQ to break free from the emotional noise of prejudice on their own.

If you really do forgive them, if you accept their limitations, you have been freed.  Not just in some relativistic artsy or spiritual kind of way, but in a plain practical way.  Forgiveness is a weapon.  The distracting noise is gone.  You can now see the people in your society and in others society for what they really are.  You can diffuse and even obliterate emotional attacks meant to silence and darken your heart.  You can trace hate to it’s source, and NOW you can really end the cycle.

What is prejudice?  It’s a failure to forgive.

There is growing concern that AI or artificial intelligence will ruthlessly enslave humanity.  These fears are real, and on the current path, very justified.

Lets separate this in to it’s two separate threats.

The first threat is that AI achieves intelligence with no counterpart either in the human or computer world, and then decides humanity is no longer useful or worthwhile.  Some know this is as the singularity.

This may be solvable by hard wiring a conscience in a very similar fashion as described by civgene.  An emotional metamind with mandatory emotional recall.  With a distracting and sometimes painful compulsion to also consider a rationally inaccessible risk calculation created passively and involuntarily.  Initially populated both by parental type training, and real world experience, but constantly creating further compound emotion associations to signal danger in both a useful and intrusive way.  In a word, digital empathy.

The second and more immediate threat, that automation will obsolete the vast majority of human thinking or skilled jobs but unlike the industrial revolution those people will become unemployable.

This is a problem that has already been solved.  Psychopaths are natural centrist statists.  Centralizing power both because they want to become the master of all other people(and the other people become slaves), but also because they regard empathy as a myth, a fraud, and an erratic defect.  Much like a purely rational super intelligent AI might view the whole of humanity.

That centrism comes at a price. a large and growing graft proportional to the growing proportion of psychopaths in a particular civilization (they eventually collapse it)  Legal distribution, designed to add risk to centrisim for the sake of itself does so by using democracy to override bluntly wasteful laws.  Laws can be intentionally wasteful, diverting economy of scale to increased power for a few, or UNINTENTIONALLY wasteful, like forcing people to work a longer work week than the economy needs, in turn creating a glut of labor and enslaving the people that can get jobs.

This of course varies case to case as most law and economics, but that’s the beauty of distributing one law at a time.  A distributed law responds to public calls of no confidence with new segmented market data.   (A lack of uncontaminated market data being the most cited failing of persistent socialism/communism.)  It is the solution to socialism meant as a temporary repair to an ailing people, but becoming de-facto permanent rule as a tool of oppression. (a 40 hour work week was a blessing 100 years ago, and now is a curse) It is a populist relief valve against too much power on the statist side of the intentionally hidden axis on the political compass.

The problem is arbitrary labor force hourly requirements creating a glut of labor.  The present state is slavery or obsolescence, but cooperation and prosperity can return if law speeds up to match the recent blinding speed of technology.

Responding to some rather silly accusations that I just made civgene up.   This was always intended as a destination in hard science, at the least.   First the septic may want to look at the paper on falsification.   And then go on to answer why civgene is not just ‘the pack gene’ plus intelligence.

Humans know humans can be trusted.  Humans know visible appearance (the primary sense) can differ from attributes. The foundation of imagination.

The key here is the failure of the primates to recognize either that a human pointing was an attempt to assist or that the identically sized boxes are actually different weights.

There are three testable differences that separate humans from apes.
1. Apes have vastly superior visual memories.
2. Humans quickly reconcile that an object may not be as it visually appears.
3. Apes won’t suspend their own observations when taught by demonstration.

(the burden of faith: part 2)

As you explore the implications of humanity as two distinct behavioral sets, you find the metamind.   It shines light on rationalization, the failure of which can describe faith.  The conscience can be destructive without rationalization, especially after Freud, then Bernays, and then Gobbles laid out how to manipulate un-rationalized emotional impulse in terrible and effective new ways.  Faith is bunker, but add a guard and it becomes a jail.

Doubt is failed rationalization*, which is vital to reason.  Reason can’t occur without at least some self knowledge.  If you don’t understand why you feel as you do, you can’t be sure you feelings are your own.  They may have been programmed into you.

If there is a chance a feeling has been programmed into you, you can’t trust that faith.  The less you know about your feelings the more true this is.  People in a modern society who claim a faith in politics, religion, or any other hunch, with out first experiencing doubt, are simply obeying their programming.  They are indoctrinated and in turn are rationalizing that, after the fact.

Doubt is the exploration that your emotional risk calculation is incorrect.   Today that is most likely because someone other than you has installed the emotions you feel inside your mind.  To begin this exploration consider that you already have fallen victim to it more times than you could ever count.  If you can’t cope with this idea you may already be a full blown proto-psychopath.  A person who’s metamind is wholly externally controlled.  How can I know you have been programmed before?  Your guardians, first charged with protecting you from fatal events, have extensively programmed your emotions against vast but unintuitive dangers.  Electricity, poisons, vehicles, abduction, and drowning among others all would have likely killed you before you had a chance to read this message.  Hard proof you are in denial about how easily you can be manipulated.

I know some psychopaths read this site, and for them an exception is granted.  They likely have no experience with what I am talking about.  This message is not for them.

Only once doubts in any faith have been thoroughly explored, can you know that faith belongs to you.  Start with any faith.  Politics for example are laughable as hard science and therefore largely based in faith.  It is immoral and nearly impossible to experiment on a small element of a social policy.  Civilization is vexed by a human science control.  You may know a particular law will benefit your civilization, but that apparent knowledge is actually faith.  Your subconscious risk calculation expressed as emotion.  Therein lies the risk.  A clever but compassion-less politician may have placed that emotion there to serve their own ends at your expense.

To expose the source of your externally fed emotions start very small.  Look at the negative effect a rule, religious or political, has on a person you know well in your community.  Do not blame the individual (Likely a projection from manipulator) but instead figure out how this rule has failed them.  Now work through all the people and organizations who endorse this rule, and look for any emotional expressions from them about it. Reject any emotions you share with the people around you about this rule.  Once that is done you can calculate your own feelings and reinforce your own emotion about it.  You now have a vantage point to discern and explore your own feeling about the societies around you.

You can get help with this, either a savy friend open to the conversation or psychotherapy is excellent at this as well.  This is temporary but may be necessary at first.  The world is drowning in examples of abuse of power and worship of hierarchy, so if you have trouble finding abuse you chose your helper poorly.  Try someone different.  You will need to travel the path of doubt on your own, but first you must climb to your feet.

Faith is a skill.  Not a hand me down, suggestion, or order from another person.  True faith is a risk calculation consistently generated from your own experiences.  A calculation handicapped with doubt.  Without constant doubt faith will quickly trap you.  Distrust those who mock or attack your doubts.  This is more important than ever in the age of institutionalized marketing and propaganda.  Personal emotions are subtle, expressed without crippling fear, brow beating, and veiled threats.  Imparting urgency without making a single demand.  Retake the bunker of your own mind, one feeling at a time.

* Psychopaths exhibit unrelenting self confidence because doubt is a mechanism of the conscience and reason, which they do not posses.

Civgene is the theory that humans with a metamind (more or less the conscience) evolved from psychopaths.  That animals the world over lack the properties of metamind (at least friendship, property, freedom, currency, and investment) and need not just intelligence, but also trust to accomplish civilization.  That civilization and it’s wonders (money, markets, specialization, economy of scale, and multi-tiered technology) is the logic of compassion.

This, like all evolution, stems from a genetic accident with an advantage.  The ability to assess risk in a split second.  A precognitive sense of long term consequences.   The metamind,  the source of civilizing levels of trust is a risk engine.  How does it work?  How does it signal to us that it’s risk calculation is complete?  Through sudden subconsciously driven emotion.  Therein lies the burden.

The process of rational determination of the origin and meaning of sudden out of context emotion, or rationalizing, is difficult.  It benefits from intimate knowledge of the subconscious self, and needs tireless practice.  The key to operation of a metamind is faith.  Faith is knowing something you can’t prove.  A perfect match for a human in the position of receiving  an emotional warning they can’t immediately rationally quantify.  Faith is how people practice defending the urge to act in a conscionable but unexplainable way.

Is it any wonder that people flock to faiths of all shapes and sizes?  How else would they practice using their own minds risk engine.  It’s good for them too.  Arguing a conclusion you trust by testing logic until something fits is the direct consequence of civgene mutation.  So is cooperation in groups larger than the largest troop of monkeys.  Society is the de facto faith based organization of civilization.

It is natural that people with a common faith would organize in tighter groups.  The benefits of community rationalization are simply too great to ignore.  Hashing out the correct (or sometimes wrong) rational response to emotional signals that are triggered by the risks they face.  Successful accurate rationalization repels critics with incorrect rationalization, flawed risk assessment, and self interested opportunists at risk of exposure of defections from societies at all scales.  Religion and politics are groups of empathic humans exploring their faith.  Groups working together at tuning their waking minds to understand the signals from their guts (so to speak.)

Society and therefore civilization become undermined and eventually destroyed when religion or politics are subverted.  People invest in a flawed model of group rationalization and at best errors occur.  At worst peoples very metamind can be rewritten by the group they sought out to help understand it.  People who are interested in manipulating others for their own benefit, can create rewards for failed assessments.  The metamind is retrained to respond to ghost risks, and the conscience becomes controlled externally.   Marketing, propaganda, dogma, and gaslighting among others fill this role.

How can this happen?  Shouldn’t the metamind detect the threat to itself?  Over time, thousands of bad inputs and decisions slowly reshape it to reflect a programmed risk without a basis in the individuals personal experience.   The metamind likely does warn that it’s accuracy is declining, but it’s a system of subtle signals that can be drowned out by acute fear.  Fear that can be activated reliably by a few specific signals.

  • You can’t leave our faith without serious consequences.
  • You can’t criticize our faith without serious consequences.
  • You must join our faith or there will be serious consequences.

The consequences can be real or imagined, but the fear blocking internal warnings is real.  These signals are repeated over and over again by those who would replace civilization with a pack behavior (territory, treaty, alliance, assignment, and favour.)  They are a message of fear designed specifically to deter the forking of religions and political groups as conscionable people are reprogrammed into proto-psychopaths.  This is why forking any hierarchy must be a protected human right, not just in rhetoric, but in practice.  These signals differentiate between a faith based religion or political party and a cult or political ideology.

Protect your conscience, protect all faith.  Discern cult from religion.  Discern political ideology from politics.  Reject conceptual fanaticism.  Promote and protect forking even if you don’t understand every instance, and societal progress will be made.

It may seem at first that law is about hard power.  Hard power is not without it’s merits.  Namely it brings all people together under the lowest common denominator.  Force.  It seems that all animals that are capable of inference can comply behaviorally with Kolhbergs entire conventional stage.  That law, enforced by hard power brings stability and in turn inferred morality.  Yet while animals can display sympathy (relating to experience.) no animal society is considered even transitionally post conventional.  The simplest conclusion is that while at a glance advanced animal society may appear to respect freedom, that reversion to opportunism and alliance is inevitable.

Animals display many favorable efficient behaviors, even sometimes in large and complex groups.  But those come at a cost.  Constant vigilance.  Hard power must be ready to bare or golden opportunities will be exploited and the order upset.  This is the rule of law without symbolic codification.

Is codification what sets human beings apart?    Psychopaths can not only comprehend codification but can enjoy material success as professionals in law.   Psychopaths who share social behaviors with the animal kingdom can not ascend beyond the conventional stage.  To do so requires imagination, specifically empathy, which by definition they do not possess.  It seems as if the the rule of law it’s self it in place to protect us from psychopaths who consistently seek power as it’s own end.  Conventional law and order is a referendum on the psychopathic mind with hard power as best understood barrier.

In humans codification allows law at a distance where vigilance is at it’s weakest.  Why does it not fail catastrophically like with animals?  The virtue of law in any particular case is embedded in an individual’s risk assessment.  As discussed at length here, the conscience is a risk assessment engine.  So while law at a distance is aimed at restraining hard power obsessed psychopaths, it is more often followed by those able to assess risk the best, the empaths.

This difference in behavior is the source of corruption.  It increases with societal scope as distance causes the effect of vigilance to fade but conscionable people react to their own emotional state in the same way.  Even worse corruption is codified and becomes part of the rule of law.  Further, the corruption increases by another factor as psychopaths breed faster than empaths and their percentages increase.  The bigger the legal scope, and the higher the percentage of psychopaths, the more law works against the conscionable.  Valued for protection from the very people increasingly exploiting it.   Restraining only their not the psychopaths activity.

This is why the rule of law becomes the law of the jungle.  It continuously falls further short of morality as it’s society grows in size and age.  The civilization gene the mutation of superior risk assessment compared to mere jealousy allows people to live in relative harmony.  For a while at least.  Not because law is vigilant, but because intelligent beings with a conscience are.

LGBT tolerance education should be case by case

The problem with teaching tolerance of sexual identity to kids, is that you can’t avoid sexualizing them in the process.  Instead, schools should focus on tolerance in general.

Parents know kids, even kids that will turn out to have alternative sexual lifestyles later, are not naturally thinking about sex. They can’t be prejudiced against their peer’s choice of partner, because while they may have a vague idea they DON’T have a lucid, explicit idea what a sexual partner is. There is sensibility to this obscurity. There is no denying the urges that will ultimately perpetuate the species, but sexual activity vastly expands a psychopaths opportunity to manipulate an inexperienced child. To trap them as their obedient ward, using their own chemical signals to reprogram their conscience against them. Spoiling the likelyhood of eventual self realization and the profits it provides for all.

There is a huge difference between punishing a kid for beating up another kid because he/she commonly refereed to as gay (true or not) and teaching kids how to be gay. I went to high school with an openly gay boy and he was forced out of school by violence. That is the real problem. Kids don’t have to like his lifestyle genetic or not, but they must respect the boundaries of his body and not socially interfere with his education. He (or she) is no one’s slave despite some’s obsession with a psychopathic hierarchy.

I’m not saying 16 year olds can’t or don’t have sexual urges, that’s absurd. I’m just saying institutionally rewarding them for that is regressive. The institution must indoctrinate the innocent in order make sexuality part of the curriculum. Instead schools should work against prejudice in general using what kids must know to be part of civilization.

The same kids that were violent with my gay classmate hated me too. Because I was different. This was the tell. It had nothing to do with his sexuality. It wasn’t even about bullying though most would stop there. It was about intolerance for people who deviate from the pack. The subconscious determination to attack any kid that doesn’t march in lockstep. That’s the problem. That was the problem in my school, in Columbine, and it’s still the problem.

Mandatory sexual indoctrination of the innocent doesn’t solve the problem, and it makes a new one. Prejudice with kids is usually about exposure and normalization of their parents conscience and their prejudices. Normalizing sex isn’t necessary. Instead normalizing tolerance has a better yield and forces no conversations some kids are not ready for. Focus on accepting, or as a better than hate fall back, at least keeping a distance from behaviour you don’t understand. The passive half of shunning. This covers bullying and better prepares children to reserve judgement until they are ready to seek the facts on their own. Only then can you guide them and answer their questions. A behaviour which practiced consistently not only stamps out prejudice, but prepares future adult citizens to be a functional civic agents of a republic. Tolerant, self resolved and driven to be passionately curious.
